New McLaren GTS joins line-up, replaces GT
The new superlight GTS aims to combine typically spirited driving you would expect from a McLaren with the ride comfort, refinement and luggage space of a grand tourer. Read more here.
Maserati bids farewell to the V8
The Italian brand celebrates its mighty V8 with two special editions: the Ghibli 334 Ultima and the Levante V8 Ultima. As the name might suggest (Ultima means ‘final’ in Italian) this is a swansong for the eight-cylinder as it continues to downsize and electrify. Maserati’s first V8 came in the 1959 5000GT.
Citroen SpaceTourer revamped
The new SpaceTourer adds another new people carrier to the market and is available in two lengths to accommodate up to nine passengers. Citroen speaks of an “assertive stance” and “plenty of muscle” when it comes to the redesign. The redesign also incorporates the brand’s new oval logo. Full release here.
Genesis UAE special edition
The GV80 Twilight Special Edition was revealed earlier this month, inspired by the “mesmerising hues” of Middle Eastern deserts and Korean culture.
New Ypsilon images from Lancia
The Lancia Ypsilon will be presented in February via the Edizione Limitata Cassina version, continuing the brand’s partnership with the furniture maker. It will debut the S.A.L.A infotainment system, which is designed to be “intuitive and effortless.” Full release here.
Mercedes gets green light for turquoise lights
Mercedes-Benz has received approval from California and Nevada authorities to use turquoise-coloured lights to communicate whether it is in automated driving mode or not. The colour has been used in an array of different prototype vehicles, including the Co-Operative car shown in 2018. Full release here.
Alfa confirms April 2024 launch for Milano
Hot on the heels of the stunning 33 Stradale supercar, the Italian brand with a rich heritage of sporty coupes and droptops is adding a compact SUV designed for urban driving. Not quite what we were hoping for, but let’s wait and see. Full release here.
