Car Design Event was a highlight of 2023, so Car Design News is happy to report the boutique designers’ get-together is returning to the Munich Drivers Club this April
April 8 sees the return of the Car Design Event held at the prestigious Drivers and Business Club Munich. Hosted by Jens Meiners and Des Sellmeijer, the two-day boutique celebration of design bills itself as a platform for designers to meet and exchange ideas.
The event made its debut last year and proved to be a highlight of the 2023 calendar with presentations from top tier figures such as Hyundai Group CCO Luc Donkervolke, Volkswagen’s Andreas Mindt, Marc Lichte plus demonstrations from clay modellers and CMF experts.
This year promises a similarly strong line-up of speakers: Mindt will make a return, as will Donkerwolke alongside stablemates Karim Habib, head of design at Kia and Thomas Bürkle, head of design at Hyundai. The full list of attendees is here.
A casual dinner on the evening 8 April kicks off the event followed by a varied programme with presentations and workshops with designers presenting their concepts and cars.
