Nicolas Proust will be taking on a new role within Tata Motors, leading the Italian outpost in Turin
After a lengthy spell in India, Nicolas Proust will be moving to Europe for a new position at the helm of the Turin studio. He served most recently as creative chief designer.
The French designer has spent the past 12 and a half years with the Indian brand in various positions, based in the manufacturing hub of Pune, and specialising mainly in exterior design. He is credited with working on models such as the 2016 Tiago Aktiv, 2017 Tigor and 2020 Nexon, among many other models.
Prior to his time with Tata, Proust had a spell as a freelance designer in Paris but the bulk of his early career in design was in Nagoya, Japan, working across the Toyota and Lexus brands.
Proust will work under European head Aurelien Doisy and global boss Martin Uhlarik.
